Our Staff

Program Director, Carla Howard has been NCP’s program director since its inception in 2001. She holds a master of science degree in early childhood education and has over 10 years of experience working with young children.

Lead Teacher, Tim Howard is an EEC-certified preschool teacher. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in music. He has over 8 years of experience working with young children. Tim has been with NCP since 2001.

Lead Teacher, Patti Sheehan holds an associate degree in child care and is certified through EEC. She has worked with infants for over 13 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to NCP since she arrived in 2001.

Lead Teacher, Robyn Ceckowski is an EEC-certified preschool teacher. She has over 5 years of experience working with young children. Robyn has been with NCP since 2003.

Teacher, Maria McCarron Maria is EEC Teacher-Qualified.  She has several years of experience as a Kindergarten Assistant in the Westwood Public Schools.  Maria has been with the NCP family since 2005.

Assistant to the Program Director, Michelle Curley. Michelle is an EEC-Qualified Teacher and has over 5 years experience working with young children.  Michelle also serves as assistant to the director.  Michelle joined the NCP family in 2004.

Teacher, Michelle Berry has a bachelor degree in exercise physiology. Michelle is also an EEC-qualfied preschool teacher. She joined NCP in 2006.

Teacher, Veronica McElaney is an EEC certified with over 6 years of experience working with preschool-age children. Veronica has been with NCP since 2007.

Teacher, Cathy Girard Cathy is EEC-Teacher Qualified and has over 7 years experience working with young children.  Cathy also serves as a Crossing Guard for the town of Norwood.  She joined the NCP family in 2006.

Teacher, Connie Cooper Connie is EEC-Teacher Qualified. Connie facilitated a Moms-and-Tots group in her home in Norwood for several years. Connie joined the NCP family in 2006.

Assistant Teacher, Deana Ritchie joined the NCP team in 2008 and is working on her EEC teacher qualification. Deana loves working with small children and enjoys assisting in Miss Patti's class.

Treasurer, Janet Pioccone has several years of experience managing her own business, as well as several years as a financial secretary for a nonprofit group. Janet joined the NCP team in 2007.

Substitute, Cristiane Sales is EEC-qualified and has over 10 years of experience working with young children. In addition to English, Cristiane is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

Lead Teacher, Paula St. Cyr is EEC-lead-teacher qualified and has over 10 years of experience working with young children. Paula joined the NCP family in 2007. Paula no longer serves as a Substitute.

Assistant Teacher, Marie Hutchinson:  Marie joined the NCP family in 2008 and is currently working toward her Early Childhood Teacher Certification.

Assistant Teacher, James Locke:  Jim holds a Master’s degree in Education for grades 1-6.  He has taught in the Needham and Brookline public schools, and has four years experience teaching in a Christian school.  Jim also works part-time as a swim instructor and swim team coach.  Jim joined the NCP family in 2009.

Assistant Teacher, Nicoletta Harper:  Nickie holds a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a Master’s degree in Special Education.  Nickie has several years’ experience working with various age groups in both a classroom and afterschool setting.

Assistant Teacher, Jean O’Toole:  Jeannie has several years experience working as a nanny and an assistant in an early child care setting.  Jeannie volunteers regularly at her church in the Sunday School program.  Jeannie joined the NCP family in 2009.

Assistant Teacher, Pascale Salloum:  Pascale earned a diploma from the Penn Foster Career School as a Teacher’s Aide.  Pascale has many years experience volunteering at her church and working with children.  She is fluent in Arabic as well as English.  Pascale joined the NCP family in 2009.
